Brand-Identified Product

A Brand-Identified Product is a product whose category identity policy uses Brand-defined identity. The deterministic identity includes the Brand and Brand Owner company together with the category and configured identity attributes.

This model is used when the market treats a product as belonging to a specific brand or model authority even when physical manufacturing is outsourced.

Identity rule

For Brand-defined identity, Actualog requires:

  • Brand ID;
  • Brand Owner company ID;
  • every required Group-level identity attribute;
  • every required Variant-level identity attribute for a concrete variant.

Different Brand or Brand Owner context produces a different group identity even when many technical attributes match.

The Brand Owner is the company that governs the brand identity. It is not automatically the same as Manufacturer. Manufacturer is an ordinary company-product relationship and can name a different company.

Governance

Brand products are governed through resolved Brand Owner authority. Other companies can still be connected as Manufacturer, Distributor, Supplier, Designer, Service provider, or Consumer, but those roles do not make them the Brand Owner.

Company-specific data

The current application does not provide Company Product Overlay. Company-specific commercial terms belong to catalogs and offers; proposed corrections can be represented by supported Product Claims; ordinary company roles remain explicit relationships.
